The congressionally mandated Independent Assessment Panel on National Security Space has recently briefed its report to senior Department of Defense leaders. In one of the first public discussion of the IAP's findings and recommendations, Mr. A. Thomas Young, the panel chairman, will present on the "Leadership, Organization, and Management for National Security Space." The panel and comprised of senior space leaders from outside the Department of Defense, assessed the organization and management of the department for national security space, its importance to the security of the United States, and defined future actions to address a range of improvements for the space, acquisition and intelligence communities.
