AMERICOM Exhibit Center will Display the Latest Technologies

OMAHA, Neb./COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Aug. 20, 2009) - Strategic Space Symposium participants will see the latest in space technology at the AMERICOM Exhibit Center, which will also serve as the networking hub during the Nov. 2 - 4 event at the Qwest Center Omaha in Omaha, Neb.

The majority of the exhibit space has already been reserved by companies wishing to demonstrate their expertise in space-based tactical operational support for the modern warfighter. But, some exhibit space is still available. The exhibitors include the nation's leading aerospace companies and top military organizations and components, as well as economic development and support organizations. They are listed at the end of this release and online.

AMERICOM Government Systems, Inc. (AGS), a leading communications satellite provider for the U.S. government, is the Space Foundation's sponsor for the exhibit center, which will be open in conjunction with the Strategic Space Symposium.

The Symposium, co-sponsored by the United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) and the Space Foundation, features two full days of interactive training sessions, speeches, and panel discussions on global space strategy and warfighter issues and requirements. The AMERICOM Exhibit Center complements the formal Symposium by offering an opportunity to learn about state-of-the-art technologies, new products, and vendors, and by providing a location for business meetings and networking. The AMERICOM Exhibit Center will serve as the venue for all Symposium breakfasts and breaks, a welcoming reception on Monday evening, Nov. 2, and a reception honoring the men and women of the United States Strategic Command on Tuesday evening, Nov. 3.

In addition to AGS, the Space Foundation's co-sponsors at the Strategic Space Symposium are Analytical Graphics, Inc., ATK, AVIATION WEEK, Boeing, ManTech, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, and exclusive media partner, Space News.
