Air Cdre. David Steele

Air Attache, Embassy of Australia, Australian Department of Defence

Air Commodore Steele is posted to the Australian Embassy in Washington, D.C., as the air attaché.  Previously, he was the defence attaché at the Australian Embassy in Baghdad, and, prior to that, was posted to Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Williamtown as the officer commanding 78 Wing. Steele earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physics and a Graduate Diploma in military aviation from the RAAF Academy, a Graduate Diploma in management studies from RAAF Command and Staff College, and a Graduate Diploma in strategic studies from the Centre for Defence and Strategic Studies.
