Maj. Gen. Stuart Beare
Chief of Force Development, National Defense, Canada
General Beare is the Canadian Forces’ chief of Force Development. He has served Canada for over 30 years in a variety of army command and staff appointments up to the division level, and on a variety of domestic and out of area operations. Previously, Beare was the Canadian Army’s top general, overseeing all training and doctrine development. Beare earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in management, and is a graduate of several British and Canadian Command, Staff, and Security programmes.
